Bembridge is the largest settlement in England, and it is located on the Isle of Wight’s most eastern tip. Bembridge used to be an island in its own right, consisting of a collection of wooden huts and farmhouses until the Victorian era. As a result, Bembridge is still somewhat isolated from the rest of the island, which adds to its attractiveness. Bembridge is one of the island’s most affluent locations, with a surprisingly busy intertidal sheltered port that is always bustling with pleasure vessels and fishing boats, providing a steady flow of traffic to and from The Solent. Quiet beaches of sand and pebbles may be found within a short distance from the harbour, ideal for swimming, beachcombing, and crabbing, and kite surfing can be seen in strong winds.
