Geoffrey Simpkin heard a cuckoo today in woodland at the rear of Lunts Heath Road, Widnes.

He said, “I was sat working from home on my laptop with the back doors closed and I heard a faint familiar sound. When I opened the doors i was greeted with the lovely sound of cuckoo cuckoo…. what a delight.”
