Swanage is a seaside resort situated at the eastern end of Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, on the celebrated Isle of Purbeck. The town is best known for its gently shelving golden sands but also plays host to plenty of shops, good pubs and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood. The town’s pier is great for strolling and fishing or why not take a trip on the Swanage Railway, enjoying a 6-mile journey, chugging through lovely countryside.
