Rookhope is a former mining village in the North Pennines. The village offers stone cottages, a shop and a pub, and it’s situated close to the C2C cycle route. Close by is the market town of Stanhope, and within driving distance is Hexham, Hadrian’s Wall, Hamsterley Forest, Killhope Lead Mining Museum, Barnard Castle and the city of Durham.
