Pontblyddyn is a small, picturesque village located between Mold and Wrexham, not far from Leeswood. Plas Teg, a Grade I listed building from 1610 and one of the most haunted houses in Wales, is located in a nearby village that has become known for its association with this historic landmark. Additionally, there are shops and a pub (The Bridge Inn) in the village for those nights when you just don’t feel like cooking. Mold Castle and numerous cafes, restaurants, and bars, such as The Fat Boar and the Queens Head Inn, can be found in the nearby town of Mold, which is easily accessible by car from the village. Wrexham is also worth visiting because it is home to the National Trust’s Erddig, a vast 18th-century manor with a tourable, ornamental 12,000-acre garden; the Ty Pawb art gallery; and the Eagles Meadow shopping centre, which features many well-known retailers.
