Nest Box Plates
During breeding season nest boxes are vulnerable to predators who can enter the box to take the eggs or baby birds inside.
Stainless steel plates will protect the entrance holes of nest boxes, preventing larger birds such as woodpeckers and magpies, or squirrels from gaining access.
These nest box plates are made from stainless steel so they will not rust or get damaged in poor weather conditions.
They come in a variety of sizes – 25 mm, 28 mm and 32 mm – on a 70 x 70 mm backing plate.
25 mm plates are suitable for blue tits, coal tits, marsh tits and other small birds.
28 mm plates are suitable for great tits and tree sparrows.
32 mm plates are suitable for great tits, tree sparrows, pied flycatchers, house sparrows, nuthatches, lesser spotted woodpeckers and other larger birds.
The plates are easy to install; simply fix them to the front of a wooden bird box with the supplied screws.
