Freshwater, which includes Freshwater Village and Freshwater Bay, is located on the Isle of Wight’s westernmost point. The West Wight Sports Centre and Indoor Swimming Pool are located in Freshwater village, which has an excellent mix of small independent stores, eateries, and the West Wight Sports Centre. Freshwater Bay and adjoining Compton Bay attract many visitors and surfers all year because of its stunning high chalk cliffs, rolling downs, and lovely beaches. The renowned Freshwater Bay Golf Club, which overlooks the English Channel and offers stunning coastal sea views from most tees, is a haven for birdwatchers, cyclists, and walkers, with many wonderful walks to be enjoyed not only on West Wight but across the entire Isle of Wight, criss-crossing over a much varied island landscape.
