A few miles from the beach community of Arnside, Milnthorpe, a former significant mediaeval market town, is situated in the South Lakes between Kendal and Carnforth. The town’s old buildings and narrow streets, which speak of a time when a coach and four was more typical than a four-wheel drive, may still be found today. The Lakeland Wildlife Oasis, which is located in a gorgeous, undulating landscape, has a lot to offer, including a tropical hall and a butterfly house. Visitors can enjoy a wonderful day out visiting the historic and gorgeous stately houses Dallam Tower and Levens Hall, which have deer parks, topiaries, and decorative gardens. Additionally accessible and well worth a visit are Leighton Hall, Sizergh Castle, the Great Lakes Aquarium, Windermere, and Grizedale Forest. There is truly something for everyone, from breathtaking limestone pavements and lovely woodland walks to beaches and gorgeous coastal paths.
