Bridlington is a coastal resort on Yorkshire’s east coast, south of Scarborough and Filey. Two award-winning golden sand beaches, both packed with activity, spread out on each side of the ancient harbour. Funfairs and quiet spots to sit and watch the world go by are all available along beautifully built promenades. The historic ‘Old Town’ of Bridlington, with its shops, sights, restaurants, and historic ‘Old Town’, present a fascinating contrast to life on the beach, where the current episode of Dad’s Army was recorded, while the Bridlington Spa Theatre on the front provides night-time entertainment. The East Riding Leisure Centre offers a family swimming pool as well as a variety of other indoor activities. The Yorkshire Wolds’ attractive villages and scenery, as well as the nearby resorts of Filey, Scarborough, and Whitby, and the stunning historic coastline, are all worth visiting.
