The charming linear village of Shap is tucked away in the Eden district of Cumbria. This small village offers all of the essentials, including pubs, shops and a Post Office, along with a swimming pool and a wonderful memorial park. Shap Abbey can be found half a mile from the village, surrounded by the River Lowther and built in 1540 by Henry VIII.
