A ferry crosses the Minch from Mallaig to the Isle of Skye all year long, making it a fantastic entry point. The final station of the famed Jacobite steam train, which travels from Fort William to Mallaig and back through some of Scotland’s most breath-taking landscapes, is Mallaig. This train was featured in the Harry Potter films.
