Glenbeigh, a sleepy fishing community nestled at the foot of Seefin Mountain and about eight miles from Killorglin, can be found on the northern stretch of the stunning Ring of Kerry. Traditional inns and fine restaurants line the streets of this picturesque village, while the nearby Rossbeigh Strand beach is renowned for its safe swimming, adventure sports, and paragliding opportunities. Sport fishing, horseback riding, golf, and canoeing are just a few of the nearby activities. The surrounding mountains, such as the Coomasaharn horse-shoe mountain to the south, Seefin and Curra to the east and west, and Slievemish to the north, all offer beautiful hikes and scenic views to go along with their activities. An abundance of hiking trails are just a fifteen-minute drive away from the McGillycuddy Reeks (the highest peaks in Ireland), and the picturesque village of Killorglin is also within easy reach.
