Located in the King’s Lynn and West Norfolk area, Dersingham is one of the area’s major settlements. The Royal Sandringham Estate, which includes the spectacular home, church, and grounds, is just a short drive away, as is Norfolk Lavender, England’s premier lavender farm, with its plant farm, tea rooms, and gift store. Dersingham has a Post Office, two supermarkets, a butcher’s shop, newsagents, and a few takeaway restaurants that serve the community. With its attractive golden brown homes known as “gingerbread houses” due to the colour of the local iron-rich carr stone used in their construction, the mediaeval Norfolk village of Snettisham is close. There are RSPB reserves at Snettisham and Titchwell, and the North Norfolk Coast, including Hunstanton, which is a family-friendly coastal town. Attractions in North Norfolk are within easy reach from this location.
