The capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds is the lovely, mediaeval market town of Louth. The town has Georgian-style streets with Grade II-listed buildings, St. James Church, a theatre, an art-deco movie theatre, a museum, a golf course, a contemporary leisure complex, superb shopping, including weekly market days, and a wide variety of restaurants to suit every taste. The nearby Cadwell Park is the site of kart, bike, and auto racing. Gentle rolling hills, charming villages, and excellent cycling and walking trails may be found in the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The coastal towns of Cleethorpes, Mablethorpe, and Sutton-on-Sea are all easily accessible by car, and Theddlethorpe Nature Reserve is home to miles of golden sand beaches and an incredible birdlife. Additionally, Horncastle and Hemswell are close by for anyone interested in antiques.
