The Great Orme and the Little Orme, two headlands that Llandudno is sandwiched between, as well as the town’s two waterfronts, are what make this popular tourist destination so unique. The town has two outstanding beaches: the North Shore, which has a huge promenade backed by an impressive crescent of Victorian hotels, and the calmer West Shore, which has miles of sandy shoreline backed by dunes and wonderful views of Anglesey. The Great Orme Tramway or an exhilarating over-a-mile cable car journey will get you to the summit of the 679ft Great Orme, though, for the greatest views. The promenade is close to a fantastic selection of shops, bars, restaurants, and cafés in the town as well as Venue Cymru, North Wales’s finest theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy, and touring orchestras, which boasts an unmatched schedule.
