The pretty, unspoilt village of Hutton Roof is peacefully located in South Cumbria, quietly resting between the beautiful Lake District and the stunning Yorkshire Dales. The village itself is home to a number of annual events including a Fell Race and Country Fair, which has children’s sports and famous cakes on offer, whilst fabulous views over the Lakeland Fells, Ingleborough and Morecambe Bay can be seen from the crags in this beautiful village all year round. Hutton Roof Crags Nature Reserve is also nearby and boasts one of the most impressive areas of limestone habitat in Britain, whilst being home to a wide variety of butterflies, birds and plant life. The ancient market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, with its attractive 17th and 18th century architecture and famous Devil’s Bridge is within easy reach and offers a variety of distinctive shops and a good selection of fine pubs and restaurants. The historic, Cumbrian town of Kendal, with its quaint cobbled streets, impressive art gallery and interesting museum is a mere eleven miles away, whilst the villages of Arnside, Sedbergh, Settle and the picturesque Lune Valley are all within easy touring distance.
