The pretty little town of Cleobury Mortimer is situated in the rural heart of South Shropshire. The town offers a refreshing selection of individual shops, a local brewery, pubs and restaurants, including The Lamp, Gauthama, and The Stable Tavern, but is most famous for its unique church, which has a peculiar, crooked steeple. Continue onto Ludlow, where you will find the magnificent Ludlow Castle, Linney Riverside Park, the charming Ludlow Market held weekly, closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and five Michelin Star restaurants, Forelles, Mortimers. French Pantry, Charlton Arms and Old Downton Lodge, perfect for foodies! Further afield, you’ll find Bridgnorth, an idyllic town split into High Town and Low Town, home to the Severn Valley Railway, Bridgnorth Castle and Gardens, Bridgnorth Cliff Railway, and a variety of cocktail bars, pubs and restaurants. Tenbury Wells and the famous World Heritage Site of Ironbridge are also within easy reach. There is excellent walking locally in the Clee Hills and the Wyre Forest, and horse riding, golf and fishing are available close by. Just a stones throw from Cleobury Mortimer is Clows Top, a charming village with a small shop and post office, and an excellent butchers. A mile further down the road is Colliers Farm Shop and Café and there are numerous pubs and cafes in the villages and hamlets that surround Clows Top.
