Just six miles away is the historic town of Llanidloes, built on the banks of the River Severn. It boasts a variety of architecture, including timber-framed black and white houses, with the impressive old market hall being its finest example. The renowned beauty spots of Llyn Clywedog with its 236ft dam and Hafren Forest offering watersports and fabulous scenery, are both close by.
