If you are looking for an established but not overcrowded tourist holiday spot with some history, then head straight for Tintagel. The village has pubs, restaurants and the NT Old Post Office. Just out of the village lie the ruins of King Arthur’s castle. The SW coastal path runs through the village, and wends it way over cliff tops and down to the water in both directions. There are several beaches and plenty of stunning scenery in the area, and within reach are quaint Boscastle, surfer’s mecca Bude, the Eden Project and Padstow.
