First mentioned in the Domesday book in 1086, the village of Spofforth is a delightful village set in North Yorkshire. Within the town you will find a number of small businesses, two pubs, a church, a cricket club and a snooker club. Places of interest include the Spofforth castle which was once the home of the Percy family, the Angel House which once hid Roman Catholic priests from the authorities and the War Memorial to the residents who gave their lives for their country.
