Whitby is a fishing port at the mouth of the River Esk and is surrounded by the North York Moors National Park. The town has a wide range of quality amenities as well as a picturesque harbour, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, a dramatic abbey and a fabulous sandy beach. Nearby, popular spots include Robin Hood’s Bay, Scarborough and Pickering.
