Haydon Bridge is situated between the market town of Hexham and Haltwhistle, close to the A69, on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. There are some delightful walks in the area, but perhaps the loveliest are at Allen Banks – 194 acres of woodland and riverside paths just 3 miles from Haydon Bridge. Amenities in the village include a railway station, a variety of shops, pubs, a local tourist information centre, churches and riverside walks.
