Property details

Step into a fairytale retreat in the heart of Glenholm, where a 19th-century Victorian baronial lodge with turreted charm blends historic elegance with modern comfort. Set in an elevated rural spot near Broughton, it boasts breathtaking south-facing views, period features and peaceful surroundings in one of the Borders’ most scenic Glens.

Quarter House is an enchanting C Listed former shooting lodge that offers a unique and memorable escape for groups seeking history, charm and adventure. Built in 1680, with a fairytale turret added in 1870, it was once home to Thomas Tweedie, who’s coat of arms is still proudly displayed. Thoughtfully restored across three spacious floors, the lodge blends period character with modern comfort. There are fine period features throughout, such as decorative cornicing, high ceilings, working window shutters and sash and case windows. Modern touches such as the kitchen appliances, underfloor heating, and fast Wi-Fi complete the picture of an optimal holiday retreat. With panoramic south-facing views over private grounds and the surrounding hills, combined with the tranquil setting of the Glenholm valley near Broughton, it’s the perfect base for group getaways.
