About where you'll be staying

The pretty market town of Evesham lies within the Vale of Evesham, in a horseshoe of the River Avon, within driving distance of Worcester, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon. Evesham and the surrounding area is famous for its market gardening and the town has an array of individual shops, tea rooms, craft and antique shops, many traditional pubs, an Art Deco cinema and thriving arts centre. Steeped in history and mentioned in the Domesday Book, Evesham has a number of beautiful black and white timbered buildings, namely the 15th century merchants house in the Market Square, and the remains of Evesham Abbey are believed to date back to the 8th century. The area offers many lovely walks with Shakespeare’s Avon Way, Wychavon Way and The Heart of England Way all close by. Evesham Country Park is well worth a visit with an extensive garden centre, well-stocked farm shop, courtyard shops and restaurant, as well as a 130-acre estate criss-crossed with walks, or take a stroll up Bredon Hill home to an Iron Age Fort, Roman ramparts and numerous old standing stones all within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The nearby spa town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age, attracting plenty of visitors with its antique and craft fairs and auctions throughout the year, and the ancient cathedral city of Worcester, birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar is also close by. The bus terminals and train station are a few minutes walk, with a train line to London and buses to Cheltenham which is ideal for Cheltenham races.
