Situated in the southern region of County Kilkenny, lying shoulder to shoulder with the counties of Waterford and Wexford, is the intimate village of Glenmore. Glenmore lies halfway between the popular towns of Waterford and New Ross, offering superb attractions in every direction. The village also lies on the Barrow Valley and offers wonderful opportunities for anglers. Glenmore is home to a local shop offering basic essentials and a friendly pub where you will be greeted with the warmest of welcomes. The vibrant town of New Ross lies on the River Barrow and boasts a great selection of shops, cafes and also the famous Dunbrody Famine Ship, an authentic reproduction of a vessel from the 1840s. Ireland’s oldest city, Waterford, is also certainly worth a visit and is home to Waterford Crystal, Ireland’s largest collection of the famous handcrafted cut glass. There’s also many golf courses to choose from within an easy drive of Glenmore. An excellent place to discover South East Ireland!
