Caernarfon Bay may be seen in the distance from Trefor’s beach, which is sheltered by the breakwater and accessible via the Wales Coastal Path or by the more daring who can enjoy frequent surfing. Convenience stores, post offices, and a legally sanctioned social club all serve the community well. There is a Welsh Language and Heritage Centre and a restaurant in the nearby community of Llithfaen. Nearby Nefyn is a lovely seaside town with a two-mile stretch of sandy beach, as well as a decent selection of shops, cafes, and restaurants; the award-winning golf club attracts children and couples alike.
