About where you'll be staying

Situated at the head of Malhamdale amidst superb open limestone countryside, the picturesque village of Malham is a magnet for visitors to the Dales who come to see one of Britain’s most impressive natural features – Malham Cove. The Cove consists of a natural cavern or ‘amphitheatre’ of limestone rock stretching 75 metres in height and 300 metres around the perimeter. A steep walk up man-made steps is rewarded with a superb view across moors and limestone pavements to Malham Tarn – the Pennines’ highest natural lake. The village itself has pubs and tea rooms and a National Park Centre. Mountain bike hire can be arranged locally. There is excellent walking in all directions, making Malham a great base for a Dales holiday.
