Maiden Newton is a town-sized village in the county of Dorset and surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Within the village you’ll find shops, a pub and a restaurant. Maiden Newton is also home to the Church of St. Mary, which is one of the most interesting buildings in the village. The church door is thought to be the oldest wooden church door in England. For fine beaches, fossils and cliff walks, look no further than the South Dorset Heritage Coast where you’ll also find the towns of Lyme Regis, with its famous Cobb, Charmouth, with its sandy beach, or West Bay, where you can fish off the pier.
