These headlands and the town’s two waterfronts give Llandudno its distinctive attractiveness. The town has two magnificent beaches: the North Shore, with its large promenade and Victorian hotels, and the calmer West Shore, with miles of sandy shoreline and views of Anglesey. For the greatest views, ride the Great Orme Tramway or a mile-long cable car to the peak. Venue Cymru, North Wales’ finest theatre stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy, and visiting orchestras, is within a stone’s throw from the promenade. World Heritage Site Conwy is a mediaeval jewel with a magnificent castle and well-preserved town walls just a short drive away.
