The town has two superb beaches: the North Shore, with its wide promenade and Victorian hotels, and the quieter West Shore, with miles of sandy shoreline and views of Anglesey. For the best views, ride the Great Orme Tramway or a mile-long cable car to the summit. Venue Cymru, North Wales’ premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy, and visiting orchestras, is just a stone’s throw from the promenade. World Heritage Site Conwy is 4 miles away. Conwy is a mediaeval gem with a magnificent castle and well-preserved town walls. Miles of sandy beaches line North Wales’ coast, and Snowdonia National Park is just 20 minutes away.
