Pateley Bridge, in the Nidderdale AONB, boasts many shops, places to eat and drink, two butchers, a fishmongers, a bakery and the England’s oldest sweet shop. Pateley Bridge is known for floral displays, whilst the leisure centre has a swimming pool. The Nidderdale AONB and the Yorkshire Dales National Park offer seemingly infinite opportunities for walking, climbing, cycling and so on whilst Harrogate, Ripon and Grassington are also worth a visit.
