Duncannon Fort, perched on a rocky promontory projecting into the channel, overlooks the lovely fishing village of Duncannon in the southwestern corner of County Wexford. The golden sand beach west of Waterford Harbour is a favourite spot for sunbathing and water sports. Every year, the town hosts its major event, the International Sand Sculpting Festival.
