The village of Metheringham sits in the North Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, 10 miles south east of Lincoln. Within the village lies a historical church, St Wilfrid’s, which dates from the 1600s, along with other amenities including a convenience store, a café, a traditional butchers shop and three welcoming pubs. The centre of the village is a conservation area and to the west lies Metheringham Heath, on which is a SSSI at a local quarry. The magnificent city of Lincoln is nearby, home to an 11th century Norman castle, Tudor town houses and a set of ancient city gates, plus a wealth of quirky shops, cosy pubs and high-quality restaurants.
