South of Scarborough and Filey on Yorkshire’s east coast is the seaside town of Bridlington. On either side of the old harbour, two award-winning beaches with golden sand are teeming with activity. Beautifully constructed promenades provide everything from amusement parks to peaceful nooks where you may sit and people-watch. An interesting contrast to life on the beach, where the most recent episode of Dad’s Army was recorded, Bridlington’s shops, sights, restaurants, and historic “Old Town” can be found there. The Bridlington Spa Theatre on the waterfront offers night-time entertainment.
