Skelwith Bridge is located in the very heart of the Lake District at the foot of the Langdale Valley. The Skelwith Bridge Hotel and Talbot Pub, dating back to the 17th century sits in the centre of the village, while ‘Chesters by the River’, is a riverside tea room and gift shop offering home-made lunch and replenishing drinks. Nearby Grasmere is perhaps best known as the home of William Wordsworth, while the towns of Ambleside and Windermere offer plenty to see and do.
