Surrounded by the beautiful and dramatic countryside of the North York Moors, this scattered village makes a lovely peaceful place to stay. There is a local village inn serving food, very welcome after a day’s walking on the numerous public footpaths and bridleways in the area. The seaside villages of Sandsend and Runswick Bay are close by and both provide lovely, sandy beaches, fossil hunting and beachcombing.
