The village of Llanddewi-Brefi is situated in the town of Ceredigion, a historical village of religious significance, dating back to the 7th century. Nestled in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains at the intersection of several valleys, it provides the village with its unique layout. The Cambrian Mountains are a must-see as they are one of the few remote wilderness areas left in Southern Britain, with their wild open moorland and verdant landscapes, they are acknowledged as some of the most scenic routes in Britain. Climb Pumlumon to the highest of its five summits for unbroken views as far as the mountains of Snowdonia and Llyn Peninsula to the north, and the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire to the south. Just over 20 miles away is the delightful, chocolate-box seaside town of Aberystwyth, home to Vale of Rheidol Railway, Aberystwyth Castle, Aberystwyth Cliff Railway and Devils Bridge Falls, a world famous tourist attraction featuring truly unique waterfalls in the Rheidol Gorge.
