The beautiful town of Wooler is a historic market town resting on the banks of the River Till. ‘The Gateway to The Cheviots’, as it is affectionately known as by locals, is home to hotels and eateries, while being close to the The Cheviots, forming part of the Pennine Way. Wooler is a fantastic base from which to explore both Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. The Northumberland National Park is a short drive from Wooler, and also within easy reach is Alnwick, renowned for its castle, and Coldstream as you cross the Scottish border.
