Firies is a small village nestled in lush green countryside, just a short drive from the vibrant holiday town of Killarney. The gateway to Ireland’s beautiful south west, Firies is an oasis of calm, boasting mountain views and the famous Gap of Dunloe as a backdrop. The area has a very rural feel, dotted with sheep and dairy farms, and is also on the beautiful Ring of Kerry route. Killarney is within easy reach, with its many attractions and summer festivals, while further afield you can enjoy the scenic attractions of Kerry and West Cork. Dingle is also well worth a visit, renowned for its lovely beaches, cliffs and Fungie the dolphin, who has been drawing in tourists from all over for a number of years!
