In North Yorkshire’s Seamer, a lovely community close to the seaside, a mix of new and old structures adds flavour to the neighbourhood, and the main street is lined with historic stone homes. Three quaint bars serving delectable food, a grocery store, a general store with a post office, and a church are all nearby. Spend a day enjoying all the seaside attractions in Scarborough, which is conveniently located near the highway and has parks, gardens, and a historic castle that looks over the town. For an afternoon stroll and sandcastle building on the beach, head to the North Bay or South Bay. Later, get a bite to eat at one of the taverns or restaurants. For live music, there is also the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa, and Scarborough Open Air Theatre. The Cleveland Way offers scenic coastal hikes, and you can also get to Whitby by bicycle along an ancient railway line and up its famed 199 stairs to the abbey ruins.
