Runswick Bay, a historic fishing community, is without a doubt one of the great beauties of the Yorkshire Coast, if not the entire United Kingdom. This lovely SE-facing community located in a wonderful sheltered sandy-beached cove surrounded by outstanding cliffs and moorland landscape, 9 miles from Whitby. The town provides the ideal backdrop for relaxation and unwinding. Long walks on the sandy beach or along the Cleveland Way on the clifftop above are also enjoyable. There’s plenty to do in the area, whether it’s visiting Whitby’s famed Abbey, Staithes’ charming shops, cafes, and excellent art gallery, or touring the spectacular North York Moors.
