West Witton, a charming and historic Wensleydale village, is located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, halfway between Leyburn and Hawes. West Witton is a classic ancient community made up of stone-built farmhouses and cottages that enjoys stunning views of Bolton Castle, Penhill and its limestone scars, lush, rolling landscape, and the nearby fells. The village contains two pubs, one of which has been recognised as England’s greatest seafood pub by the Wensleydale Heifer 2006/07 AA, as well as a well-stocked village store and a lovely green.
