Snettisham is a classic Norfolk village. The historic structures are known as “gingerbread houses” throughout the neighbourhood. General stores, a Post Office, two inns, a restaurant, and a regular bus service to the bustling, family-friendly seaside town of Hunstanton and ancient King’s Lynn are among the village’s facilities. The church of St Mary, which stands alone on top of the hill, is well worth a visit, especially to see the intricately detailed tracery flowers on the west window. The old Peddars Way public footpath runs near the settlement, and there is an RSPB bird sanctuary close to the beach.
