Cayton, a small village and civil parish in North Yorkshire’s Scarborough district, is ideal for a beach getaway, having a decent range of amenities and attractions both inside the village and in the surrounding area. There are many of hidden jewels to find in the community, which boasts historic traces of its existence during WWII, with coastline erosion pillboxes visible around the area. The village has a fair selection of pubs and shops, ideal for a self-catering stay, but Scarborough, a lively resort town with plenty of things to interest all ages, has a larger selection of waterside cafes.
