Bordering the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site making a lovely spot for a scenic stroll and boasting evidence of involvement in the Industrial Revolution throughout the town, in its railways, mines, ironworks, houses, fine buildings and more, there’s so much to explore in the local area. The town is home to a good range of amenities, with a vast range of eateries to choose from including pubs, fine dining restaurants, takeaways and more, as well as there being a scatter of shops where you can select your own fresh ingredients. Visit the restored Broseley Pipeworks Museum, abandoned by workers in 1957, here you can learn of the history of local tobacco pipe-making, while the National Trust wonder of Benthall Hall rests in close reach of the museum; a 16th century English country house home to a beautiful garden with wonderful crocus displays. The living museum of Blists Hill Victorian Town lies in easy reach too, giving you a realistic experience of a Victorian Shropshire town in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, while the town of Telford offers a more contemporary experience with its fantastic opportunities for shopping and plethora of eateries.
