The port of Cowes is by the mouth of the river Medina on the north coast of the Isle of Wight. It is split into East and West Cowes, both have much to offer, with West Cowes a world-famous yachting centre, with watersports facilities, as well as the cycling gateway to the island. It has a beach and a wealth restaurants, inns and niche shops. East Cowes is known for Osborne House.
