Located on the Yorkshire coast, 14 miles from Whitby is the small community of Loftus. Terraced houses, old stone cottages, and a few stately stone dwellings make up this once-thriving alum-mining community. The town’s long and bustling main street is home to several businesses, including restaurants, bars, financial institutions, and the grand town hall. A recreation centre with a first-rate pool may be found just off the main drag. Loftus is conveniently located between the picturesque fishing towns of Runswick Bay and Staithes, the latter of which is a favourite among painters. Saltburn, four miles to the north, is a chic spa town with a golf course and a long pier that stretches out over the wide dunes. We are conveniently located near both the beautiful landscape of the North Yorkshire Moors and the Jurassic fossil shoreline.
