A market town nestled in the the South Downs National Park. Mildhurst is brimming with history, landmarks, Tudor houses and 94 listed buildings. Henry VII helped build the Cowdray House and Gardens set on the banks of the River Rother, the ruins can be seen today. Mildhurst is home to the De Bohun Castle which needs to be seen. The castle comes just off of the town centre, a great place for shopping, eating and drinking with its range of amenities. Within a short drive comes Petersfield, it also offers a selection of shops and restaurants as well as a golf course. If you fancy a day by the beach, take the drive town to the coast where the delightful locations of Worthing and Brighton are accessible and most certainly worth visiting.
