Until 1762, the only way into Dungloe, Donegal, was via the stepping stones, nowadays, visitors can enjoy easy access into the town, making it a popular destination for tourists. Locally, Dungloe is known as ‘The Capital of The Rosses’. The town has a variety of shops, bars, restaurants, and hosts regular events, including the ‘Mary from Dungloe’ festival. An angler’s paradise with over 130 lakes and rivers, the area is known for its fishing and sea angling, and charter boats are available in nearby Burtonport.
