Boat of Garten is a village situated in the Cairngorms National Park near the River Spey. Due to its close proximity to the large population of Ospreys at RSPB: Loch Garten, the village is also known as Osprey Village. In the village itself, you can find the family run 1896 Gallery and Coffee Shop, Anderson’s Restaurant, a Post Office, a wine shop, a couple of cafes and The Boat Hotel, where you spend an evening dining out in style. Enjoy fishing on the River Spey, or play a round of golf at the Boat of Garten Golf and Tennis Club. The village is a short drive from the town of Aviemore, where you can enjoy skiing in the winter months, or walk, climb and cycle through the summer.
